Felix,
Lightweight 2-person tents that I like:

-MSR Hubba Hubba (honest weight: 4lbs 10oz.)  Incerdibly easy to set-up, free-standing, full-coverage rainfly
But, only buy the Hubba Hubba if you are NOT planning on staying in shelters for the majority of the thru-hike (too heavy to carry if infrequently used during a 2000+ mile hike)

-Big Agnes UL tents (great lightweight tents, but they have a thin sil-nylon floor that could survive a thru-hike if you were careful)  for instance: Seedhouse SL2 or Copper Spur UL2

-Sierra Designs Vapor Light 2 or Clip Flashlight 2 or Lightning XT2

Avoid the tents by The North Face in the ultralight category as they are either single-walled styles or hybrids (too much condensation).

The rest of this message is to everyone else on this e-mail list:
We are nearing the time of year when sales-reps begin sending me closeout lists of items.  If there is anything you have been lusting after and would like for me to keep my eyes open for, please let me know.  All I ask is that you are a bit patient as I cannot say for certain when these closeout lists will fly across my desk.

Hope this helps!
