It's more like a free tune up, and I don't tell Leki what to do. All I do is drop it off and pick it up with a different colored sticker every year. I have at least 4 stickers lined up near the handle: yellow, green, white, pink. Sometimes they give you a letter grade based the condition of the poles.

Leki. I've exchanged two pairs of REI trekking poles in the last 3-4 years
and now have a nearly new pair used for backup or loaner. REI is good about
replacing them, but . . . The trekking poles I use primarily are the Lekis
used by my wife, Gutsy, during her thru hike in 1996. I have them serviced
 annually at Trail Days.

What do you think? What sticks do you like and why?
  Thanks!
