My karma is wearing a big-ass grin right now... Never did get to see the
vaunted Vt moose. Nor bear.
Did see a snowshoe hare and ran into a lot of great people.

If you happen to run into HomeFry and Lefty SoBo on the AT treat them good,
hiked with them from Manchester south... nice people.

And for the first time in all the years of being "Skeeter"... if I kept
going south (tempted man, tempted!) I could have gotten a new trailname. I
rarely pack "liquid refreshments" out of town... but when you're in
Manchester... well, the liquor store and the laundrymat are in the same
building... and some Southern Comfort got mixed in with my clean clothes...

Lefty LIKES Southern Comfort, and she kept calling it SoCo... hmm, "SoCo"
for a trailname on a southbound hike... yeah, I could do that!  <lol!>

Will type up my journal and post as time permits...

But one more story... get down to the HydeAway in for a mail drop, hot
shower, and laundry... (I will NOT tell you about my socks, just in case
someone is eating as they read!)

Head over to the bar at 4:30 to see what I can scare up for dinner (veggie
lasagna). Good beers (REALLY good beers) on tap. Grateful Dead on the
stereo... and the bartender is a '95 AT thru-hiker... yeah, I can do this!

(Oh, and the first item on the dessert menu was "Key Lime Pie". He never
made it any further!)
