Stasis is a word. A word that fits, in this case.

For a while yesterday, Paula was feeling better. Now, not so much. They
can't figure out why she's still hurting so badly after the (perceived)
source of the pain was removed. There are also no digestive sounds at all,
even though she has been eating soft food for four meals now.

I slept 14 hours last night. Could use a few more. Maybe later!
