[at-l] pants

I've been shopping for some new nylon convertible pants. My old ones
were North Face, and not very comfortable around the waist when they
would work their way down under pressure points from the backpack hip
belt. I was pleased to discover that Mountain Hardware had responded to
this particular problem with a "seamless conical waist"

innovation. Can anyone here speak for this? Road-tested?

I would like to see a bib and suspender version of nylon convertibles.
This design would bypass the whole problem of hip belt interference.
The fashion statement would probably be considered to severe to those
who merely want to appear outdoorsy. And side pockets? The hip belt
covers them up. So maybe a good backpack pants design would remove
those too.
