Going Southbound of course, which makes it all downhill.
Northbound Monarchs need two or three generations to make it to Maine. Amazing critters (the butterflies, that is...).

Watched a Nova program last night on Monarch butterflies. They migrate all the way from Canada to central Mexico in TWO MONTHS! It takes hikers 6 months on average just to go North or South within the US on one of our trails. And we think the butterflies are delicate. Compared to them we're a bunch of wusses.
