Frank said not to send home your winter stuff until after Mt. Rogers.  Make that Pearisburg.  I shuttled my hiking partner up the trail to Ceres after Trail Days one year, and she had snow on May 22 up around Bland.  She got really sick from the cold and not being prepared for it, too.  a'bear
