Yeah, I always had pretty good luck with clothes and socks drying in my synthetic bag.  Sometimes the stuff was just too smelly/sticky/icky to put in there and I'd just put in on wet in the AM.  Yay!

Two pair socks.  One to show.  One to go.  So to speak.

Oooh. Never a plastic bag, makes em stink more. Yuck... And they dry better in a synthetic bag, than in my down bag, or so it seemed.
