Hi Bob,

I'm not aware of any groups of hikers who are planning on hiking a section
of the trail, but I do have advice on finding partners which might be
appropriate for you.

Basically, unless you already have a compatible hiking partner with whom you
have significant experience on the trail, your best bet for finding a good
hiking partner may be to just get out on the trail. Start solo and find
people to hike with along the way.

I've got a whole write-up on my web site about this at:

http://friends.backcountry.net/m_factor/partner.html

In addition to information about finding a hiking partner, the page also
includes useful information to consider if and when you do find a partner.

Have a great time out there,
