Frank, is this Prince William Forest Park? I've only been there to hike once or twice, but seems like a good place. Its a National Park, just off of I-95 in Prince William County, south of DC.

Not what you asked for, but we always camp at Prince William Park. We park the car at a large metro stop, buy day-passes for the metro every day, and ride to our little heart's content. We've been 6 or so times. D.C. Is our favorite tourist city.

Going next month, have stayed w/teens at the Capitol Skyline and out in Alexandria - want something closer to the Mall, with parking. All help greatly appreciated!
Also hitting HarpersFerry, and Gettysburg!
