That climb, which continues to Cheoah Bald, is a long slog up, that's for
sure.

I've taken Boy Scouts there a couple times and the problem is once they
reach the shelter it's hard to get them up the last 1/2 mile or so to the
top.

This weekend we're headed to Snowbird Mountain, starting from the Waterville
exit on I-40, which is another fun climb with a rewarding view at the top.

My opinion of hardest climb in the South was NOC to Sassafras Gap. But
everyone feels differently.
