[at-l] Comm device for AT and other eastern trails

Pretty easy.  :)  I'd like it to be my everyday "phone" too... not just for trail use... just suitable to take on the trail.

  FWIW: Even the cheapest prepaid cell phones have text/E-mail capabilities these days.  The question is, just how easy do you want it to be verbose.
