That's what I like about hikers,  they have this well thought out plan.  Brewpubs at the beginning and end.  So does that require a "designated hiker"?

Got month vacation. ;-)
Got guide books.
Got maps.
Got maildrops and resupplies figured out.
GPS on the way.
Need airline tickets and shuttle to Ely.

Approximately 310 trail miles from Ely to Duluth. 25 hiking days. Probably
be a little faster. Probably add a couple of zeros :-)

And there's some brewpubs in Duluth if I have time to kill... <vbg>

Ely now has a brewpub, too. The Boathouse.

Not
 the classiest place you ever saw, but, well, it's nice for Ely.

It's been nearly a year since I was there, but I recall the selection of
beers was limited but drinkable.
