[at-l] gear for August hike in Maine

I'm planning a month long section hike in Maine, starting at Katahdin.  I'll be starting July 31.  I've heard that you should pick up your warm gear in New Hampshire before entering the Whites, and presumably you want it in Maine too.  I'm just not sure how warm I need it to be.

Do I need my fifteen degree bag?  My down jacket?  Overmitts? Fleece pants?
