That is where they took me out when my kidney failed. Angel is the lady there. Really nice lady. The airplane ride off that lake, even under the influence of drugs, is a scary thing. Hope the hiker makes out as well as I did.

Wardens on way to help ill Appalachian Trail hiker
TOWNSHIP 1 RANGE 11, Maine — Wardens from the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, along with a warden pilot, were in the process of trying to rescue an ill Appalachian Trail hiker late Thursday in the 100 Mile Wilderness area south of Baxter State Park, according to the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.
The rescue operation, which began about 2 p.m., still was under way as of 10 p.m., a dispatcher said. Involved in the effort, along with wardens, were personnel from the Maine Forest Service and public safety workers from Greenville and Millinocket.
DIF&W spokeswoman Edie Smith said she did not expect to have details to release until Friday morning.
Piscataquis County officials said that the rescue operation began when members of the hiker’s party walked from the trail to Nahmakanta Lake, where they used a cell phone to summon help.
The 100 Mile Wilderness is some of the most remote territory in Maine. It takes hikers from Abol Bridge to Monson.
