Not all TJ’s are great literature true enough, some however are and we savor those, over and over. We *never* criticize the ones that aren’t. To do so seems sort of boorish.

Well Clyde I guess I was an ass then too. I just think tj's make a great read for family. However, that does not make it great literature. Realistically it becomes redundant ie my feet hurt, I ate Ramen, it rained. So, it is nothing new or exciting to people that actually hike.

Stop reading, put on a pack and do it yourself. Or you can live vicariously through others. Then Clyde you can cyberhike like most people do here and on White Blaze. Have a great life.

When you finished the AT in '07, were you an ass then, or did that come later?

My favorite AT book was written by a hiker who completed the trail in 1970. My wife and I have literally worn out copies of it. I’m sure we’d enjoy a retrospective posting of your trail journals.
