My friend Patch is having a brain tumor removed today. As 
I'm not much of a 'thoughts and prayers' guy, I'll say this: 
at some point today tell someone you love them that maybe 
you wouldn't normally tell. Pet a lot of dogs and cats.  
And, do an extra good thing for someone, or two.  I'll let 
you know how his surgery goes.
