[at-l] Patch

I met and hiked with Patch while southbound in VT in '98, great guy. We had
lunch at a shelter, just ourselves and had a great conversation. Later at
Manchester Center I took a picture of him, Felix, Mike on a bench in front
of a restaurant that Norman Rockwell used to visit. I think Felix has that
picture posted somewhere. --RD

My friend Patch is having a brain tumor removed today. As I'm not much of a
'thoughts and prayers' guy, I'll say this: 
at some point today tell someone you love them that maybe you wouldn't
normally tell. Pet a lot of dogs and cats.  
And, do an extra good thing for someone, or two.  I'll let you know how his
surgery goes.
