ROANOKE CO., Va.— 

Our special live coverage from McAfee Knob Wednesday night got the attention of rescue crews.

They want hikers to know while the scenery is beautiful, things can quickly turn scary.

As you all know, it was really hot Thursday. So we saw lots of hiker with plenty of water.   But on most days, some hikers don't come prepared, and that can be a costly 
problem.
