The weather was decent considering the forecast, with only a 5-hr rain on
Saturday afternoon/evening. I asked the hikers for help and we set up the
large Walrus tarp, using it for shade as well as rain protection.

 

Again the SoBo hikers seem more relaxed than the NoBo's and once again I had
camping partners each night. Only hiker to get a family visit was Willie
from VT, his sister waited for him in order to hike north for a few days.
BushGoggles is just as interested as I am in looking for old beer cans and
bottles. Found a few in the woods. In general there are more & more hikers
each day making their way on the trail.

 

About 45 hikers this trip. The total for the month is 112 hikers. This
number includes NoBo, SoBo and section hikers. I'll be off for a while
tending to other tasks. I expect to be back at Crawford Notch on August 8.
