[at-l] Trip to Whites

Just returned from gathering information for 2013 Thru Hiker's 
Companion. Stopped in Gorham NH. Mary Anne and Bruno of Hiker's 
Paradise claim to have had a very good season. But made many trips to 
the hospital with sick hikers. Bronchial, intestinal and many cases 
of "Boils". What causes boils? Stopped at the new (last year) White 
Mountain Lodge and Hostel. They had 15 or more hikers every night 
despite raising their rates and eliminating dinner. The Mahoosuc 
Mountain Lodge in Grafton Notch had their best season ever.  Anyway, 
colors are starting to change in The Whites. Did not see one thru 
hiker.  Put 374+ miles on my truck.
