[cdt-l] Da Bears

I am sure most of us are familiar with the video you have to watch in Glacier.

The video basically states:

1) Bears are faster than you
2) Bears are stronger than you
(and in my case I'll add  3) Bears are more intelligent than you)

And if you get in a bear encounter? GOOD LUCK!
 
There..I saved you all from watching the video. :)

One thing this video does is put a "fear of God in you" for most hikers. At Goat Haunt, my first day on the CDT, I saw approx 3 bazilllon (give or take a gillion) people
at this popular tourist destination. They were ALL clapping and saying "HEY BEAR!"  Rest assured, with 3 bazillion (give or take a gillion)  tourists, there were no grizzlies around. :)

I put pepper spray into the same category as a GPS. Take one. Or don't. 

It honestly will not affect your hike in the long run all that much.
