[cdt-l] Bypassing Montana Fires

The combination of the Conger Creek, Ahorn, and Skyland Fires makes it
exceedingly difficult to hike from Lincoln to Glacier National Park.
Based on my understanding of the closure situation, a possible route
from Lincoln would be to head for Monture Creek trailhead (Lolo NF),
proceed north to Holland Lake in the Swan Range, cross over to the South
Fork of the Flathead by way of Big Salmon Lake, descend the South Fork
to Spotted Bear Campground, cross over to Spruce Park on the Middle Fork
by way of Long Creek, come out on U.S. 2 and resupply at Essex. Take the
Firebrand Pass Trail to East Glacier and continue north from there.
Anyone have better suggestions?
