[cdt-l] Suggestions for introductory hike

Hi all,
Looking for suggestions for a 3-4 day backpacking excursion near Colorado
(since I have to drive from Iowa) that would be good for me and my 13 year
old grandson.  It will be his first "real" backpack experience (but I've got
a few miles on me!) A loop would be nice but out-and-back is fine, too.  Any
suggestions to help us experience the CDT would be great.
