On our southbound hike, we used a 20 degree bag until Colorado and then
switched to a 10 degree bag around September 18th (two days after the
blizzard). We could have used it sooner. On our northbound hike we again
used a 20 degree bag until mid-September. This time we got the 10 degree
bag two days before the blizzard.
