Hey Garret,
You can try our 2005 Colorado CDT section hike.
We did the San Juans then. In our 2006 thru, we
skipped the section in lieu of the Creede
Cut-Off. (Check under Spur and under Ready for
these journals, at www.trailsjournals.com ) Our
conditions were pretty nice, considering what
others had in store for them in 2006.
Jim and Ginny's journal is a good one; their
traverse through the San Juan's was part of their
2006 thruhike. (Find it at:
www.spiriteaglehome.com ) They're really good
about giving details of the weather, terrain and
other conditions along the way.
Snows made just about everybody do some detours
there in 2006; most wound up hiking much of what
we hiked to get out of the snow. The Amigos kept
a journal on Trailjournals (under Andiamo).
Tincup's wife, Joy, kept one, but I don't know
where it was posted. I've read excerpts and found
it to be heartwarming and hilarious, at times!)
Those are the only N'bounders I know to have kept
on-line journals that year.
Happy reading!
Ready
