Mr Don Grant,
How the hell are you these days? I've been battling the snow in up state
Montana for the last week or so and now i'm on my final stretch of trail
to Togette Pass! As of now, there is a cold front happening and
yes...there is snow in the forcast for tonight 2morrow morning. Shit!
But, with only 170 miles left I'm game to taking on mother nature. She
has def shown her colors over the last week or so...its been incredibly
nice from Canada to Rogers Pass, but after departing highway 2 in
Montana to Chief Joseph Pass the weather has change with a blink of an
eye. The nights have been very cold...like in the twenties and the days
in the forties. With this being the last stretch of the trail...I'm
ready to take her ON. You'll enjoy Montan....She is Beautiful!!!With her
colors of the changing season...It was too bad that we weren't able to
hike together. There's always next year, Right!!! Def left me know?
Well, i'm sitting here in my hotel room in Lima, MT...sipping on some
Brandy and watching TV! thinking of heading over to Pete's Brew to
indulge on there 23oz steak, but with my diet...I might end up getting
sick, but Who cares...Right! Its food, and its ALOT of Food. You know, I
tried emailing Larry and his addy got bounced bck? But maybe he'll check
TJ;s and email me bck...who knows. I hope you enjoyed CO...and her high
country...I truely wouldn't want to be in CO right now...Brrr!
Its been under a month since leaving Canada...I'm ripping this
trail apart. But right now, i absolutely have to be safe out here.
I've experienced three days of snow above 8500ft and it really hit
just seven miles outside of Lemhi Pass, just about 10 inches feel
on me. Yikes...I do wish i had a partner right now...or a few
individuals to hike with when mother nature is being not so nice.
It was a pleasure meeting you guyz in Chama!!! Best of wish's to
you and your wife for next years hike.
disregard anything i write on my trail journal...Its all a bunch
of BS...It seems like everytime i sign in im PMS-ing and i write
about nonsense...That goes for everyone who reads my journal. My
youtube account shows you first hand what this experience has been
for me, not what i've written. Anyway, Love, Peace, Free Spirit
and Happy Trails.
