[Cdt-l] GPS school?

I'm a cyberphobe, but a good navigator.  Where can I go to learn  the 
hands-on of creating routes and downloading batches of waypoints from  MapSource to 
my Garmin? Can you get  1 MB microSDs for doing  that?  If so, how much memory 
will I need to set up the whole CDT?   Thanks for helping a gps beginner to 
get started.
