[Cdt-l] northern terminus start

Hey, How does a sobo cdt hiker get started? Is it
necessary to go to canada eh? Or can one hike in on a
sidetrail, tag the terminus and set off in a southerly
direction? If so how many miles for the best approach
route. What are the names of the trails and mileages?
