[Cdt-l] Private Property

While reviewing J. Ley's maps of southern Montana I came across an alternate
route proceeding north from MT-274 (Anaconda-Pintler Segement, Section 1)
that ascends Mill Creek and Miller Lake, then crosses a pass to reach Lake
of the Isle.  J. Ley indicates that this traverses private property.

Who owns this land?  From whom should I ask permission to hike this
alternate route?

Has anyone taken this route?  What were your experiences?
