If you're familiar with postholer google maps, I've taken Jonathan Ley's CDT
kml and created a postholer google map. This has mileages and elevations are
generating as we speak:

http://postholer.com/gmap/gmap.php?trail_id=16

The trail length is based on a 3,100 mile trail which seems a bit long. All
the alternate routes have been removed as mileages cannot be created with
multiple routes. While there are plenty of coordinates, it get's a little
grainy below a 1 mile scale.

Click on the blue trail trace in 2 different locations and you'll get the
mileage between those 2 points.

As usual you have satellite, topo, terrain, etc, map types.

Thanks Jonathan!

Happy New Year!
