If you go to Leadville, I am a fan of Rosie's Brewpub (not on the main street, about a block east of the main drag) and for breakfast I like the Columbine.  Good times, good times.

Brew pubs....

Pagosa Brewery in Pagosa Springs and Bertrams in Salmon, ID with the Bertram's Belly Buster Burger are two I haven't seen mentioned.

Pagosa Springs also has a Kips Grill and several other watering holes.

AH..Colorado brew pubs!

Screw the stove discussions, what tent to bring or should you carry beer spray. If you are on this list, you are probably
an experienced, burly outdoorsy person and know the answers. ;)

So, let's get to the real question: BREW PUBS!

With the FREE summit stage bus in Summit County, you can easily hit the brew pubs in Breck, Dillon and Frisco.

The Dam Brewery in Dillon is indeed great. I quaffed a few beers after some backcountry skis more than once.
(Many Texans hang out there  during ski season. My apologies to Texan listers..but what is with Texans demanding that they play
Texan Footballs games in ski bars? OK..rant off! :D)  I strongly suggest the Sweet George's Brown.

In Breck, you can go to the  Brekenridge Brew Pub.  Breck is actually easily reached from the designated CDTA route (if you go
that way) or the free bus system as well.  The Oatmeal Stout is awesome.

My favorite though is the Backcountry Brewey in Frisco (easily reached from Copper via the free bus!)
Sit on the deck, look at the (pine bark beetle damaged) ridge and have a 14er Burger: 1 pound of meat, double the cheese
and order some BACON to go with it.   A carinvore delight! Wash it down with with a Peak One Porter!

Now, the Tommy Knockers in Idaho Sprgs is different from the one in Creede. (It is good though!)

If you come to Boulder (and I have a feeling you just may be able to have someone pick you up at the TH, give you a place to crash
and drop you back off. Dunno why I think this...) ., I suggest you go to the Southern Sun Brewery.  It is my hangout place and they
make awesome beer. The Java Porter on nitro (very smooth!) is one of my favorite beers ever. Have a junk burger to go with it.
(bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onions, roasted garic mayo).  I probably paid for at least one booth in the bar on all the money I've
spent there over the years...

If I may put in a plug (I don't earn money off it..so maybe it is not a plug? :D), my website has my favorite day hikes, backpacks and ski tours.
I give the boring info (maps needed, directions to the TH, etc.), but most importantly: WHERE TO GET BEER AFTER THE HIKE! :)
