Oh, and we have had some heavy rain showers in Grants NM today. Much needed and welcome. Hope that this fortifies the springs out there.

We have been advised by the Forest Service that the northernmost section 
of the CDT in New Mexico has now been constructed. This includes the 
Border Reroute (guidebook pages 14-16) and, as we understand it, the 
Brazos Ridge Reroute (page 17) as well. We suggest that hikers with GPS 
also try the Lagunitas Reroute (page 17).

The relocation from the Cruces Basin overlook to Lagunitas Creek has 
been approved, but not yet constructed.

We would welcome feedback from hikers about these new trail conditions.
