The connector is from downtown Moab to just south of Lake Ann in CO.

We like this area - remote with lots of scenery. Be aware that the Kokopelli 
Trail has no water on it though.

We met a SOBO couple in MT on the CDT last July who were attempting a
similar route minus the part in Canada. (CDT-Hayduke-AZT) I believe their
route connected to Arches via the Kokopelli Trail. To hit that requires an
exit from the CDT no further south than Illinois Creek (CO mile 342.3) in
the Collegiates headed towards Gunnison and Grand Junction.
