Hello all!

I am headed to the Bridger-Teton area for some CDT hiking (southbound in the Palmdale Ranger District) in a couple of weeks.

This seems like the best part of the area? (Opinions?) (I will have my dog, so no national parks.)

Looking at the map, it seems difficult to figure out my logistics....

Where is the best place to access the Bridger-Teton's?? I was looking at Palmdale.

Is it hard to get a ride out to the trail? Or is the trailhead setup (and safe) to leave vehicles there? What's the norm for folks??

Is there any way I could hitch back up to Palmdale if I just did a spur hike south?

Are there better or worse places that people like to camp at?

Is there bear canister requirements??

Thanks for your great help!! Happy hiking!
