[Cdt-l] iPhone GPS/2011 thru hike

Can anyone suggest a good iPhone app which might supplement paper maps on a thru hike? Is there any app which might be used instead of a separate GPS unit? Thanks!

And, by the way, I plan to start a northbound thru hike in late April, and would love to hear off list from anyone considering the same.
