I saw my first, and largest of the five Grizzlies I saw south of Yellowstone. I believe is was just south of Togwottee, but I would have to check my notes to be exact. It was south of Yellowstone though.

Even if you think you're invincible or something... Mice can be a big
problem in some areas.

I'll second that.
And don't kid yourself about the "south to Yellowstone" thing. The "Yellowstone to Yukon Initiative"
was taken seriously by a LOT of govenrment agencies. It pretty much established the griz corridor
We had to compete with them for a table at Serranos in East Glacier on one of our hikes.

And of course grizzlies are south of Yellowstone through Togwotee
Pass and into the northern Winds. I seem to recall CDT hikers
spotting some and a few maulings:
