[Cdt-l] Trail Closures on CDT, Beaverhead-Deerlodge NF

Jackie,

 

Don’t know if you are going NOBO or SOBO, but this is what I have been able
to learn.  

 

The trail is closed for about 11 miles just north of Big Hole Pass because
of the Rabbit Creek Fire.  It is ½ mile east of waypoint 12_030M of segment
12.   It is small, below the trail and 100% contained, so that probably
won’t be an issue when you get there.  

 

The rest of the fires mentioned in the article are small and apparently
under control.  There are two small fires between Homestake and Delmo Lake
that didn’t get listed at Inciweb.  They are close to the roadwalk through
there so they could be an issue, but I’m betting they will be totally
wrapped up quickly.

Does anyone know where these fires are on Ley and/or Jerry Brown maps?  Any
help is appreciated.  We've just crossed I-15 south of Butte on the Butte
Route.
