[Cdt-l] bus transportation on Anaconda route

Hey CDTers,
 
Here is a CDT transportation option that I didn’t know about
until recently.  This applies only if
you are hiking the “Anaconda Route” in Montana.  As you probably know, this route goes right by Uncle Buck’s
Bar.  As it happens, a bus operated by
Rimrock Stages stops right at Uncle Buck’s.  This is on the bus route between Butte and Missoula. 
 
If you are trying to get **to** Uncle Buck’s, you buy your
ticket to “Warm Springs” and you are all set.  But if you want to take the bus **from** Uncle Buck’s, you need to
notify Rimrock in advance because the bus won’t stop at Warm Springs / Uncle
Buck’s unless the driver knows there will be a passenger there waiting to be
picked up.  Rimrock’s number is
406-245-5392.  Another option is to call
the Butte bus station at 406-723-3287.
 
To get to Uncle Buck’s from Butte, you leave Butte at 535am,
getting to Warm Springs / Uncle Buck’s at 550am.  To go in the opposite direction, you leave Warm Springs / Uncle
Buck’s 555pm, getting to Butte at 615pm.
 
Cost was $12.50 one way.
