Do you have a BOOK on the Continental Divide Trail? I thought I saw a book on the CDT with good descriptions, but now I can't find it. I'm planning to do a section of the CDT later this summer from Lake City to Molas Lak. I would sure love to have the CDT book if you have one OR if it is even printed.

I'm going to Grand Junction, Colorado, today to see if the bookstore there has a CDT book

Here are some scenes from the festivities. Note that these were taken the first week of June when the aspens are out of dormancy; they are bare of leaves here exclusively because of the caterpillars.

That sounds like the Sawtooth trail we saw in 1999. I wonder if they've ever cleared it?Ginny

. Sawtooth trail of
the Divide is still a bit of a mess with blowdowns that have not been cleared in a couple of years it looks like. 2 hours to do the 1 1/2 miles or so and trail is a bit hard to find in the first 3/4 mile sometimes. Goose Creek trail is fine. Outfitter very hiker friendly and said we were the first CDT hikers he had seen this season although I know there were several ahead of us. Best wishes to all other pilgrims this season.
