The staff at South Pass City historic village live in Lander. They  
are hiker friendly and if you arrive before 4pm it is likely they  
will give you a lift to Lander and back to SPCity on the morning you  
intend to resume hiking. This worked well  for me last year. Say  
hello to Bill Blackmon who runs the post office/store inside the  
historic village where you pick up your parcel. Lander is a great  
hiker town, it is compact and has an excellent Hiking Store.
