In 03' we did an alternate route out of Yellowstone through the Lee-Metcaf area. Basically using forest service maps our town stops were Ennis, Whitehall and then rejoining Jonathan's route at McDonald Pass. Has anyone considered or done something similar. I will be hiking northbound starting April 29 from Crazy Cook.
