[Cdt-l] Grangeville, Idaho

Bill, when you were in Grangeville did you hike on the Idaho Centennial Trail? One of our resupplies was flown in by a contract pilot out of Hamilton, Montana into a landing strip grandfathered in the Wilderness. When we were scoping out resupply options I asked the Rangers in Grangeville if it was better to bury my food cache or hang it on the Magruder Corrider. The answer, of course, was neither!

The CDT follows the stateline between ID and MT in the south and the ICT continues on the stateline farther north.

When we hike through a town we've noticed that locals always say they live in the most beautiful area...you certainly did! Then they warn us about their local dangers: snakes, bears, lightning, etc!

GottaWalk (sigh, winter is here)

It was beautiful and we loved the time spent seeing so much beautiful mountaineering country. I grew up in Indiana and have loved my adult life in places like Montrose, Colorado, Grangeville, Idaho, Hamilton, Montana, Ouray, Colorado, (with the US Forest Service) and Anchorage, Alaska with the National Park Service. I have always felt deeply blessed to have lived and enjoyed the beautiful country where ever I lived.
