I checked the Colorado Snotel sensor reports to verify the low snow levels
in the South San Juans & Weminuche Wildernesses as of 6/2/13

Location and Elevation Last Measurable Snow on ground

Cumbres 10,040 5/14
Liliy Pond 10,040 4/29
Grayback 11,670 5/11
Wolf Creek 11,000 5/26
Upper San Juan 10,200 5/18
Middle Cr 11,200 5/18
Beartown 11,600 5/13
(this is near where the CT crosses the CDT)
Wager Gulch 11,100 5/2
Slumguillion 11,400 5/23
(this is near Spring Cr Pass/Lake City)

This does not mean there won't be some snow on northern exposures, the
Knife Edge in the Weminuche comes to mind.

There was a lot of late snow (April into May) in the mountains north of
Monarch Pass and especially north of Leadville so some of the Snotel
sensors show some snow on the ground.
