[Cdt-l] socks

I wore Defeet cycling socks on the AT, they were very light and dried out pretty well in a climate that is hard to do so. However, I knew there was no way they would hold up on the PCT, so I switched to the lightweight smart wool crew socks.

Since the PCT I have switched back to Defeet, but their "blaze" model. I wear them all day in my construction work boots and throw my trail runners on when I get home and run about 50 miles a week, never had a single problem. I plan on using them on the CDT in '14. If they're good enough for Skurka, they're good enough for me.

I like the micro crew cushion models, they are not too thick and shed moisture well. When I came back, I washed them ( twice) and sent them back to the company, and they sent me a brand new pair that were the exact same color and model that I will use them this year on the CDT and hope for and etc. experience.
