I’ll be using my Tilley Airflow. It has a wide brim and a ventilated
section just below the top. About a 3/4” section of bug netting
all around the hat for ventilation. The hat is light too. 3.3 oz.
If it’s hot the hatband does get a bit warm though.
I’ll also be using a GoLite Chrome Dome umbrella if it’s not too
windy, and it may be most of the time in Southern NM.

I lost my Tilley last summer, but the Tilley is actually a bit heavy and warmer than it needed to be.
I picked up a Sun Day Afternoons safari hat but not enough side and ear protection.
So I am now in the hunt for a new hat for New Mexico.
