We just pulled into Lima, MT at the friendly Mountain View Motel. Mike and Connie really are very hiker-friendly. We just had breakfast with them over at Jan's Cafe. There's a register and even a hiker box here at the motel! (the first hiker box I've seen on the CDT).

We're moving a little bit slower than the pack, and we've already been passed by Nacho, Pepper, Remi & Heather, Love Barge, Speedo, Skittles, and Disco/P.O.D. Friendly Bear and Kevin are still just behind us, enjoying a more festive style of thu-hike. I suppose we'll see Mags and Pine Needle before too long!

The hike has been awesome so far. Yogi's new CDT town guide has been a great resource. In general in MT, there seems to be a lot of new signage/posts/blazes/treadway, and even the dreaded section between Buffalo Spring and Shineberger Creek (Jonathan MT65 maybe?), which Jonathan and Wolf both warn can be a naviagtion nightmare, was fine, with no GPS or compass required and only an occasional map check. Speaking of maps, Jonathan's maps have been absolutely invaluable, what a great gift to the CDT community. Without them, I'd really dread finding, buying, marking, updating, interpreting, and carrying all those quads.
