<P>Thanks for your thoughts yesterday. I'm curious about the rate of Trail tread development on the CDT in the past few years and projections for the future. I would prefer to hike on trail such as the PCT when hiking along an established route. To stay off forest service roads on the CDT would require high daily mileage cross-country for a thru hiker. I'm unlikely to want to do this. Along my hike from Manning Park to Mt Assiniboine I enjoyed some cross-country travel and in turn as a break some hiking on Forest Industry Roads. But this was along a route of my own design and I feel less inclined to this when I'm not inventing the route. Thoughts on this would be appreciated. <BR><BR></P></DIV>
