I 've stopped at both the Circle A and the Cuban Motel. The Circle A reeks of nostalgia of the old southwest. The building itself is over 100 years old and contains many artifacts and books of the old southwest. It has a modern kitchen one can use. However it caters to large groups. I was there on a week end with an elementary school class and parents. The next night there was a 50 year hi-school reunion group. Didn't get much sleep.<BR>
The Cuban motel is definitely not luxurious, but its quite and there is a great cafe across the street. The owners are true trail angels. I droped in after a day in the desert without food or water with sever foot problems. The owners feed me supper and eventually drove to to Grants so I could continue my hike. So take your pick.<BR>

His maps didn't show "red rock road" or FR 851 and that is where the new sections of the CDT down from Burro peak dump them.
