Definitely, get Yogi's CDT guide.

I was nobo starting at Crazy Cook and did use a bounce
bucket, since I didn't want to burden my wife with posting
packages. Thus, I was totally self-supported on the trail. The
maps resided in my bounce bucket (along with prescriptions, repair
items, etc.). I wound up breaking my trek up into "chunks". I'll
do the last chunks, Buffalo Pass to Rawlins and Helena to Waterton,
this year. My recommended bounce bucket locations (also zero
locations): Silver City, Grants, Leadville, Steamboat Springs, West
Yellowstone (I hiked the "official route thru Targhee Pass and
highly recommend it), Helena, and East Glacier. I also had my BB at
Chama, but don't recommend it.

I mailed food boxes ahead to: Doc Campbells and Pietown from Silver
City; Ghost Ranch from Grants; South Pass City and Brooks Lake Lodge
(UPS only) from Rawlins (could also send from Pinedale); Lima,
Leadore, and Sula Country Store from W. Yellowstone; and this year
I send to Lincoln and Benchmark from Helena.

I resupplied for the next section at: Lordsburg, Silver City,
Grants, Cuba, Chama, Pagosa Springs, Silverton, Lake City, Salida,
Leadville, Frisco, Grand Lake, Steamboat, Encampment, Rawlins,
Pinedale, Old Faithful Village, West Yellowstone, Butte, and will
resupply this year at Helena and East Glacier.
I strongly advise using priority mail for any packages or envelopes
(as in maps) you send ahead. In a pinch, you may be able to call
the post office to arrange to forward those if you'll be arriving
after closing on Saturday. Be sure the "forward to" location agrees
to take the package.
